Due to high traffic to the Student Information System, some students experienced slowness while registering for Fall classes. The issue was traced to a configuration setting in the vendor's database. The shared pool memory, which manages repeated database requests, had not been optimized for the user load. As traffic subsided, system performance improved. DTS is working with the vendor support to adjust memory settings and prevent future slowdowns during peak registration periods.
